Desta vez, Iris trouxe sua nova coleção com o nome de “Hypnosis”, em parceria com o artista americano Anthony Howe, que criou uma escultura inspirada nas ilusões de ótica por onde as modelos entravam na passarela.

O desfile foi repleto de vestidos que pareciam esculturas em movimento e deixaram todos maravilhados.

Conhecida no mundo da alta-costura, a Dolce & Gabbana não ficou para trás e também fez um dos maiores desfiles de alta-costura em 2019. Com uma coleção inspirada na Grécia Antiga, o desfile teve com cenário o Templo de Concórdia, em Roma, um complexo construído cinco séculos antes de Cristo!

Além disso, todas as 125 peças no desfile foram confeccionadas à mão e cada uma delas levava o nome de uma deusa Grega. A modelo brasileira Isabeli Fontana foi quem fechou o desfile, com um vestido feito de tule de seda inspirado na deusa Hera.

Os críticos descreveram o desfile de alta-costura como uma celebração das mulheres de todas as etnias e idades. Um dos grandes destaques do show, cheio de nomes conhecidos no mundo da moda, foi a participação da modelo Lauren Hutton, atualmente com 75 anos de idade!

Nesta estação, a Dior também utilizou sua coleção para celebrar as mulheres e o feminismo. Maria Grazia Chiuri, primeira mulher a frente da grife, utilizou como inspiração o livro “Are Clothes Modern?” onde o autor, Bernard Rudofsky, questiona as roupas femininas que restringem e atrapalham a movimentação.

Como resultado, as peças da coleção foram feitas com tecidos leves e todas as modelos usaram rasteirinhas ao invés de salto alto! Ela também fechou o desfile com chave de ouro, com um vestido de casa de boneca dourado criado pela artista Penny Slinger.
