A maneira como o vírus ataca o sistema respiratório é o que apresenta mais perigo aos infectados. No entanto, pessoas saudáveis com menos de 40 anos dificilmente terão complicações.

No período em que estamos, a grande maioria dos locais estão paralisados para evitar que o coronavírus se espalhe cada vez mais. Mas, se não for possível praticar o isolamento social, lembre-se destes passos básicos para a prevenção.

  • Lave as mãos com frequência e da forma correta. Isso é indispensável caso você tenha tocado em corrimãos, maçanetas e barras de transporte público.
  • Evite levar as mãos ao rosto e tocar os olhos, boca ou nariz com frequência.
  • Não compartilhe objetos de uso pessoal.
  • Limpe objetos utilizados frequentemente, como celulares, por exemplo.
  • Procure ficar em ambientes bem ventilados, com entrada e saída de ar facilitada.
  • Mantenha distância de 1,5 a 2 metros de outras pessoas.

Existe cura para o vírus?

Sem dúvidas, diversos médicos e cientistas ao redor do mundo já estão trabalhando na busca de um remédio para o novo coronavírus. Contudo, uma cura definitiva ainda não foi encontrada.

Caso uma pessoa seja infectada, ela é tratada com medicamentos que aliviem seus sintomas principais até que o vírus seja expelido pelo corpo. Apenas em casos mais graves ela é internada para que médicos possam monitorar o progresso da doença.
