Na semana do meio ambiente aconteceu no Rio de Janeiro, mais precisamente entre a Urca e o Leblon, o Rio Ethical Fashion primeiro Fórum Internacional de Moda Sustentável no Brasil. Além de eventos para a academia e outros abertos ao público em geral, a conferência reuniu experts da área em 10 painéis que discutiram sobre temas relacionados à moda consciente.
Geralmente em um dia de talks, temos aquelas conversas que estamos mais interessados. Mas no caso do REF, realmente todas as conversas foram de muita importância e entusiasmo do público presente, apesar do pouco tempo que cada palestrante teve para discursar suas ideias, o público ficou com aquele gostinho de “conta mais”.
Dentre os talks internacionais tivemos Carlos D’amario, CEO da marca Vivienne Westwood com Simone Cipriani, oficial da Onu e fundador do Ethical Fashion Initiative conversando sobre como Marcas de Luxo podem criar impacto social. Já na parte da tarde foi a vez das conversas sobre design circular girarem na mesa com Britanny Burns, do Fashion For Good, Felipe Vilela apresentando o Farfarm e do cofundador da Vert(ou Veja)François Morillon. O Painel sobre Ética e o Novo Luxo com Lilian Pacce como mediadora e Oskar Metsavaht e Simone Cipirani renderam uma boa dose de consciência sobre luxo e ética andarem na mesma linha como sinônimos. Pra terminar foi a vez das figuras Marieke Eyskoot e Patrick Duffy falarem da moda como agente de transformação em uma conversa repleta de risadas sobre como ambos chegaram na moda ecofriendly e nunca mais saíram dela.
Idealizado pela diretora criativa Yamê Reis, o Rio Ethical Fashion (REF) contou com o apoio do Instituto C&A, apoio estratégico do Instituto-E, idealizado e presidido por Oskar Metsavaht, e consultoria de marketing sustentável de Lilly Clark.
Foi muita gente legal e realmente não dá pra resumir horas e horas de debates em um post. Mas queremos dizer que ver o teatro cheio e tanta gente debatendo feminismo, agroecologia, política, sustentabilidade, desigualdade social, ambientalismo, economia circular, criatividade, ética, ideologia de gênero e tantos outros tópicos que circulam quando falamos de moda sustentável foi como ver que há esperança para as próximas gerações. E também há esperança pra você que perdeu o REF! Ano que vem, tem mais. Já vai se programando e não perde essa!
