O desfile foi idealizado por Simon Porte Jacquemus, designer e fundador da marca, que queria celebrar os 10 anos da grife relembrando o lugar onde cresceu, os campos no sul da França. “Tudo que significa muito para mim veio daqui. Por favor, não diga que sou parisiense! Eu venho do Sul da França”, afirmou Simon em entrevista.

Para tornar tudo ainda mais especial, a locação escolhida foi uma plantação de lavanda, onde uma grande passarela pink, por onde os modelos desfilaram, foi adicionada a paisagem.

Logo, o desfile se destacou entre os críticos e nas redes sociais, onde recebeu diversos elogios e já ganhou o status de icônico na história da grife.

“Eu queria algo sofisticado, mas ao mesmo tão leve quanto um coquetel no verão”, contou Jacquemus em entrevista para a revista Vogue. A escolha da passarela pink também foi estratégica, para que se destacasse no meio do tom pastel da lavanda.

O show aconteceu perto da Men’s Fashion Week, em Paris, mas não fez parte do circuito. Mesmo assim, foi a primeira vez que a grife fez um desfile com peças femininas e masculinas misturadas, apoiando a tendência da moda unissex, cada vez mais forte entre os estilistas.

A atriz Bruna Marquezine, que já havia usado peças da grife em outras ocasiões, assistiu ao desfile usando um vestido de tricô da nova coleção do estilista e uma grande bolsa de palha, peça que já é um clássico da Jacquemus.

A atriz também aproveitou para colocar fotos no Instagram mostrando o cenário dos sonhos de qualquer fotógrafo e influenciador. “Eu queria algo muito poético. Um lugar que parecesse um cartão-postal… quase parecido demais com um cartão-postal”, brincou o fundador da marca.
