No último domingo tivemos a 90ª edição do Oscar.

A cerimônia do Oscar 2018 foi marcada por discursos fortes sobre diversidade, igualdade e inclusão, vindo de apresentadores e vencedores.

Este post não visa listar todos os filmes nominados e os vencedores, mas visa mostrar aos nossos leitores que a bandeira da diversidade está sendo levantada sim, aos poucos, em diversos eventos globais.

Essa onda de filmes defendendo a igualdade de gêneros está dando voz a grupos até então oprimidos em nossa sociedade.

O cinema é uma mídia global com alto poder de transformar a sociedade.

Filmes que presam pela representação e defesa de todas as raças, gêneros e etnias têm muito impacto nas pessoas.

O que está sendo construído e transmitido nos filmes é de responsabilidade social.

Um dos discursos na cerimônia do Oscar 2018 se destacou

Recebendo o prêmio de Melhor Atriz, Frances McDormand pediu que todas as mulheres indicadas se levantassem, um modo de deixar claro para todos os presentes que elas têm sim histórias para contar.

A atriz  também fez um grande chamado aos produtores do evento para se encontrarem mais com mulheres para falar sobre seus trabalhos como roteiristas e diretoras

“Todas nós temos histórias para contar e projetos para financiar.”

No final, a atriz lançou a expressão “cláusula de inclusão”.

Trata-se de regra que um artista exige pelo menos 50% de diversidade no elenco e na equipe técnica.

Finalmente, estamos presenciando diversidade na entrega dos prêmios.

  • Em 2018 temos um mexicano (Guillermo del Toro) ganhando o prêmio de melhor direção e de melhor filme por “A Forma da Água”
  • Jordan Peele é o primeiro negro a ser premiado na categoria de melhor roteiro original, pelo filme “Corra!”, inclassificável em termos de gênero.
  • O filme chileno conseguiu a estatueta de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro. A produção se destaca por trazer uma personagem trans vivida por uma atriz trans, Daniela Vega.
  • A indústria do cinema está longe da igualdade de gênero, o poder ainda é massivamente branco e masculino.

Campanhas para combater o assédio sexual na indústria do cinema também estão ganhando mobilidade.

Na cerimônia, as atrizes Ashley Judd, Annabella Sciorra e Salma Hayek lembraram o ano passado como um período em que “a verdade” veio à tona e “lentamente, um novo caminho surgiu”.

Foi transmitido um vídeo com depoimentos de profissionais do cinema, mulheres, negros e/ou trans e trechos de filmes como “Pantera Negra”, “Lady Bird” e “Uma mulher fantástica”.

Momentos como este devem se propagar ainda mais nos próximos tempos!
