Agora, ele decidiu surpreender mais uma vez com sua criatividade, quando foi convidado a decorar a fachada em obra de um complexo de apartamentos e escritórios de luxo, que se chamará Knightsbridge Estate, em Londres.

Knight teve a ideia de decorar a fachada com o tema “Cavaleiros de Knightsbridge”, misturando moda e fantasia medieval. Ele encomendou criações que fossem semelhantes à armaduras de designers, entre eles Gareth Pugh, Rick Owens, Iris van Herpen, Yohji Yamamoto, Moncler e Maison Margiela, e fez uma grande sessão de fotos para capturar as criações fantásticas.

Um vídeo foi divulgado com o making of das fotografias, onde é possível ver as “armaduras” criadas pelos designers com mais detalhes.

A inspiração, de acordo com o fotógrafo, veio do próprio nome Knightsbridge, que é uma rua e um distrito de Londres, na Inglaterra, onde o prédio se localiza, e significa algo como “Ponte dos cavaleiros”. Além disso, ele se inspirou no multiculturalismo da cidade, e no equilíbrio entre a moda antiga e nova.

“Londres é um lugar incrivelmente cosmopolita, com diversos povos e culturas se unindo. Procuramos diferentes perspectivas do cavaleiro, do guerreiro e do protetor dentro da nossa cidade e país!”, disse o fotógrafo em entrevista para a revista Vogue. Com a exposição ele ainda aproveitou para fazer uma crítica ao Brexit, a saída do Reino Unido da União Europeia, que, de acordo com ele, foi um passo em uma direção completamente errada para o país.

O fotógrafo ainda disse que o desafio principal do seu projeto é fazer com que as pessoas parem de olhar o celular e vejam, de verdade, a exibição, não procurando apenas fazer mais uma foto para o Instagram.

Ele disse na mesma entrevista: “Em todas as campanhas você quer impactar as pessoas e mudar a forma como elas enxergam as próprias vidas. É um grande desafio, mas não faz sentido ter um grande outdoor e não dizer nada. Você quer que as pessoas olhem para o mundo de uma forma diferente, depois de terem visto o mundo que você criou“.

As fotografias ficarão expostas durante um período de 18 meses e, como estão cobrindo uma obra, ficarão desgastadas com o passar do tempo, o que para Knight também possui um significado maior, de adaptação e evolução na moda e no mundo.
