Filha de mineiro e baiana, Glicelia Silva de Oliveira cresceu em Teixeira de Freitas, no sul da Bahia, de onde guarda muitas lembranças boas da família e da infância.

A vida na época era simples, muito batalhada.

Lia lembra da casa de táboas onde morou na infância e que para ela era uma verdadeira casa de bonecas.

A menina de 5 anos se recusava a comer o lanchinho fornecido na escola e levava para casa, pensando nos irmãos que ficavam em casa com fome.

Os próximos anos foram ainda mais complicados com o alcoolismo do pai, que perdeu as condições de trabalhar e sustentar a família.

Aos 16 anos, Lia disse ao pai que queria ser modelo. O pai recusou a ideia e ela foi trabalhar em um supermercado para ajudar em casa.

Lia participou de um concurso escondida dos pais, e ganhou o título de Garota Primavera Verão de 2000.

“Era algo pequeno, mas grandioso”.

Nos próximos anos, Lia teve sua primeira filha, se separou, teve sua segunda filha e vendia doces caseiros para sobreviver sozinha com as meninas.

Com câncer, seu pai faleceu aos 59 anos no dia de ser próprio aniversário e assim, a família se desuniu completamente.

Sua jornada de dificuldades não parou por aí. Foram abusos com ex-companheiros, complicações financeiras, locais parar morar.
