Já tinha escutado falar sobre a depressão pós-parto, mas nunca me interessei sobre o assunto e também nunca achei que eu poderia ser uma vítima potencial.

Quando planejei minha gravidez, estávamos (meu marido e eu) cientes de tudo que poderíamos enfrentar. Pensávamos em todas as possibilidades, principalmente porque tivemos nosso filho na Tailândia e o planejamento foi extremamente necessário.

O que eu não esperava é que após o parto, eu fosse ter Baby Blues. Nunca fui uma pessoa com tendência depressiva, mas lá estava eu, mergulhada no mundo da depressão no melhor acontecimento da minha vida, o nascimento do meu filho.

Enquanto estava no hospital me recuperando da cirurgia, começei a sentir uma sensação de solidão, mas achava que era porque tive meu filho sozinha. Aqui na Tailândia, os pais, parceiros ou pessoas da família, não podem ficar na sala de cirurgia. Ou seja, tive meu filho com a companhia da equipe médica. Também por nossa família não morar aqui, não tive aquela enxurrada de carinho e visitas após o parto, que a gente reclama tanto no Brasil. Eram somente eu e meu esposo. Por isso achava que aquele sentimento de solidão era devido a esse conjunto de circunstâncias

Tinha dias, que meu marido saía para as aulas no mestrado, e eu era sucumbida por uma sensação de morte, como se alguém fosse morrer, uma coisa horrível! Quando uma dessas crises passou e me senti um pouco melhor, fui pesquisar no Senhor GOOGLE o que poderia estar acontecendo comigo.

As informações na internet foram cruciais para me ajudar!

BABY BLUES E DEPRESSÃO PÓS-PARTO – O QUE SÃO?

O baby Blues é um estado de melancolia, ansiedade, irritabilidade, mudança de humor ou tristeza, que se estende de 15, 20 ou em algumas raras vezes, em até no máximo 30 dias após o parto. Não existe uma causa única que gera o Baby Blues, mas geralmente se dá pela queda ou alteração hormonal repentina, além dos fatores emocionais gerados pelo medo, grande responsabilidade de se ter um filho, além da exaustão física.

Ao contrário do Baby Blues, a Depressão Pós-Parto não passa. Os dias vão se sucedendo, e não existe nenhum tipo de melhora no estado emocional da mãe. Sintomas mais sérios são desenvolvidos como:

  • Sentimento de culpa e de inutilidade
  • Falta de interesse em cuidar de si mesma
  • Afastamento do bebê pela própria mãe
  • Inapetência
  • Insonia
  • Confusão e desorientação
  • Pensamentos suicidas
  • Pensamentos de abandonar o bebê ou até mesmo tirar sua vida

Diferente do Baby Blues, as causas da depressão pós-parto têm origem em fatores prévios ao parto. Desordens emocionais anteriores a gestação, problemas ou estresses durante a gestação, falta de apoio familiar e alguns outros motivos de ordem fisiológica e emocional.

Neste caso é importantíssimo, que uns 20 dias após o parto, se a mãe não estiver demonstrando melhora nos sintomas, deve ser levada ao médico. Esse estado deve ser considerado uma emergência médica.

VOCÊ NÃO É SUPER HEROÍNA! COMO SE AJUDAR ?

  • Tente fortalecer seus laços com seu filho. A cada dia juntos, você descobrirá alguns momentos de prazer causados pelo fortalecimento dos laços. A universidade de Oxford publicou em 2016 um artigo sobre como os laços sociais mais fortes liberam o hormônio Endorfina, que é um agente importante no cérebro, capaz de dar sentimento de prazer. Naturalmente seu corpo vai te ensinando a descobrir a felicidade ao lado de seu filho.
  • Ainda no mesmo conceito da liberação da Endorfina, tire sempre um tempo para ficar com amigos e a família. Não se isole. Estar acompanhada de outras pessoas diminuirá a sensação de solidão. A família e amigos, são sempre o remédio exato para qualquer tempo ruim!
  • Não se sinta culpada e nem se cobre por estar mal. Esse é um processo involuntário que vai passar
  • Procure ajuda e aceite ajuda. Você não é heroína. Aceite ajuda com a casa e com o seu filho.
  • Tire tempo para você ficar sozinha. Quando alguém te oferecer ajuda com a criança, vá ficar sozinha. Um banho longo, uma caminhada, um passeio no shopping, um filme com pipoca… esse é um tempo super necessário para descansar e colocar a cabeça e os sentimentos em ordem.
  • Não tenha medo ou vergonha de falar o que está sentindo. Se você se abrir outras pessoas poderão te ajudar. Não tenha medo dos julgamentos. Eles irão acontecer de qualquer jeito, mas sempre haverá uma pessoa que irá entender.
  • Saia de casa …vai ver o dia! A luz do sol é revigorante. Traz de verdade a sensação de vida! Ajuda a te mostrar que o dia ta lindo, que tem muito pra se viver!

COMO EU ENFRENTEI O BABY BLUES?

Eu saí da fase do baby blues bem devastada. Eu não recebi um diagnóstico. Mas me senti muito melhor no primeiro mês.

A depressão pós parto quase me pegou!Um ano depois do nascimento do meu filho, ainda tinha muita irritabilidade. Fiz algumas encontros terapeuticos, coloquei as coisas em ordem dentro de mim e em quatro semanas, me transformei! Também aceitei ajuda da minha mãe, que veio me ajudar durante 9 meses!

Eu não sabia como fazer, porque nunca ouvi falar sobre o assunto, então no meu caso pesquisei muito! Li muito! E coloquei em prática tudo que pude! Aceitei ajuda e me ajudei! Tenho certeza que não foi da melhor forma. Não existe aula para passar por períodos de sofrimento na vida, mas se você puder amenizá-los, faça!
